- Suitable for other fruiting crops such as capsicums and chillies.
Features and Benefits
- Contains 5-6 months controlled-release fertiliser.
- Extra Magnesium (Mg) for dark green, healthy leaves.
- Added Calcium (Ca) and Potassium (K) for bigger, more plentiful fruit production.
- Contains Pinegro® Wood Fibre for healthy root growth.
- Made from natural and renewable resources.
How to Use
Tomatoes have deep root systems so make sure deep pots or containers are used. For garden beds make sure there is sufficient room for root development. A well established root system is always essential for healthy growth.
Containers, Hanging Baskets or Planter Boxes: Containers, hanging baskets (for cascading tomatoes) or planter boxes allow for ease of access and enable you to locate your tomatoes wherever space permits. Remember, tomatoes are not house plants and require larger containers. Fill container with Daltons Tomato Mix. Compact lightly by hand and water to see what level the mix settles at. If necessary top up before planting, keeping mix level 2-3cm below edge of pot. Place containers in a warm sheltered spot with lots of sunlight. Protect from frost.
For New Raised Beds: Add Daltons Tomato Mix to a depth of 30-50cm. Compact lightly by hand and water to see what level the mix settles at. If necessary top up before planting.
Existing Raised Beds or as a Planter Mix: Dig a hole to around 4-5 times the size of the root ball and half fill with Daltons Tomato Mix. For new tomato seedlings each hole should have at least 5-10L of mix. Place the tomato in the hole and top up with Daltons Tomato Mix. Water thoroughly.
Daltons Tomato Mix can also be used for most other vegetable or flower crops, or as a general garden mix.
